David Lee Minor

David Lee Minor, 67, of Louisiana, MO, died suddenly on September 29, 2025. He was born on March 8, 1958 in Louisiana, MO to William "Bill" Minor and Mary Della Robins Minor. David loved being outdoors and loved nature. You have probably saw him walking around dressed in camouflage clothes with machete at his side, or at one of the local gas stations playing scratch-off tickets and drinking his Sundrop. He never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone. He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard and received an Honorable discharge. He was employed with the City of Louisiana Water Dept. for a short time. He was a stone mason and made beautiful stone walls and fire places. Some of you may even have one of his walking sticks, dream catchers, Christmas trees, or skulls that he loved to make. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Mary, a brother John Minor, and a sister Linda Kay Minor. He is survived by his sisters Dorothy Humphrey of Louisiana, MO, Carolyn "Suzy" Snell (Harold) of Louisiana, MO, Patricia "Patty" Carper (Steve) of Canton, MO, Sara Johns of Illinois, brothers William "Bill" Jackey Minor of Pittsfield, IL, and Richard "Dick" Minor (Joann) of Louisiana, MO, his ex-wife Lisa Minor of Louisiana, MO, a daughter Kayce Jines of Bowling Green, MO, a step-daughter Renee Reading (George) of Hannibal, MO, one step-son, his grandchildren Zaqry Uplinger & Abigale Shade, Gaven Uplinger, Nevaeh Gregory, Angelina Reading, Della Reading, Jasper West, Dane Dunn, Bryson Splain, Khilyn Splain, Brinley Orf, and Wesley Orf, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. David's wishes were to be cremated. Cremation rites are under the direction of Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Aviary Recovery Center in Eolia, MO.
