Dave was always there with an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on when you needed it sometimes even before you knew you needed it. Quietly listening giving that soft encouraging patron the hand or back. With a couple of words had you feeling better and always loved. Never turned down the chance to talk about his favorite teams or that 1 line zinger out of left field just to make sure you were listening... I unfortunately lost my Grandfather when I was young and sometimes when I spent time with Dave he reminded me of my Grandpa. He was is and always will be one of the greatest men I had the privilege of knowing... Although he will be greatlt missed he will never be forgotten. Prayers to all who knew him.

My hero. My friend. Who will fix my butter churn the next time? I see you now in the animal refuge you created in the trees.
