The Rev. Dr. David S. Mohr

The Rev. Dr. David S. Mohr, 88 years, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Allentown. He was born in Allentown to the late John Mohr, Sr. and Anna (Brunner) Mohr, and lived in Slatington from 1st to 10th grade before moving back to Allentown where he graduated from Allentown High School in 1955. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Franklin & Marshall College (1959), a Master of Divinity Degree (1963) and a Doctor of Ministry degree (1991) from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster.

Dave was ordained in 1963 at Trinity UCC in Allentown and served several churches including Ziegels Union Church in Breinigsville for 19 yrs before retiring in 1999.

He was an active member in the former Penn Northeast Conference. For over 25 years he served in various capacities for Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County. Dave was a member of St. John's UCC Fullerton.

Dave married Grace C. Wolf on August 30, 1958. They have four children, Deborah Koelsch of Mt. Joy, PA, Rebecca Mohr (Vicki Poole) of Dallastown, PA, Peter Mohr (Regina) of Orefield, and Martha Zink of Palmerton; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Richard, and John, Jr.

A Memorial service will take place at 1:30 PM on Saturday, December 13 at St. John's UCC, Fullerton, 575 Grape St, Whitehall. The visitation will take place from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Private interment will take place at Ziegels Union Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc. in Fogelsville.
