David Morquecho Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home - Grand Prairie on Mar. 13, 2026.
David Morquecho, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. He was born on May 3, 1955, in Karnes City, Texas, and will be remembered as a kindhearted man whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around him.

David was known for his caring and generous nature. He had a gentle spirit and treated everyone he met with kindness, whether they were family, friends, or strangers. He was always willing to help anyone in need and never hesitated to offer a hand, a smile, or a few kind words. His compassion for others was simply part of who he was.

Family meant everything to David. He deeply loved and cherished his nieces and nephews and took great pride in staying connected with them. One of the things everyone will always remember about David was how he never forgot a birthday. No matter how busy life was, he made sure to call and make each person feel special on their day. When he would call, he often humbly said, "I'm just trying to do my best," a phrase that truly reflected the sincere and humble way he lived his life.

David found joy in the simple things. He loved cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and was always proud to support his team. He also enjoyed spending quiet time at home and going to the movies by himself, moments that brought him peace and happiness.

He leaves behind many family members who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. David is survived by his siblings: Connie Cervantez, Martin Morquecho, Hirma Mandujano and her husband Jose Antonio Mandujano, and Juan Manuel Garcia.

He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Angelica Cervantez, Cristela Cervantez, Roxane Cervantez, Carlos Antonio Mandujano, Jose Antonio Mandujano, Orlando Mandujano, and Rebecca Carmela Botello, all of whom he loved dearly.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Crispin Morquecho and Maria Morin.

David will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and the love he shared with those around him. Though he may no longer be with us, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain forever in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
