David L. Nesbitt

David passed away peacefully at home with his family and friends by his side on October 31, 2024. David was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 13, 1954, to William Walker and Dorothy Cox Nesbitt.
David was raised in Corpus Christi with his older brother Stephen. He attended W. B. Ray High School, Del Mar College and then pursued a long and successful career in surveying. David owned and operated Nesbitt Surveying and contracted with Frontier Surveying Company.
David was registered in 1999 as a member of the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveyors and in 2002 he received his LSLS – Licensed State Land Surveyor.
David married his soul mate Nancy of 43 years on January 2, 1981. They enjoyed traveling to the Texas hill country and backpack camping at Pedernales State Park. David was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, kayaking, hunting, and was very artistic. David especially adored his family. He often enjoyed spending all day barbequing for family gatherings. Nancy and his daughters Michele and Crista were his world.
David is survived by his wife Nancy Kephart Nesbitt, his children Michele Falgout Roth (Ronald) and Crista Falgout Parra (Jose), his grandchildren Jade and Summer Roth, Reed Swetish, his great-grandchildren, Gia and Luke Walker; his brother Stephen Alan Nesbitt (Janice), his niece Heather Nesbitt Coughlin (Chase), nephew Michael Nesbitt (Venus) and great-nieces and great-nephews Sienna Wilkinson, Collin Nesbitt, Ashlynn Nesbitt and Broden Nesbitt.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 PM at St. Luke's Methodist Church 3151 Reid Dr.
