It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Virginia Linda Garcia, who peacefully left us on October 29, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in
Corpus Christi, Texas, on June 10, 1949, Linda was a woman of warmth, kindness, and strength. She lived her life with a deep love for her family, her friends, and anyone in need of a helping hand.
Linda was the cherished wife of the late Victor Garcia, whom she married in 1981. Together, they shared a beautiful life, and Vic's passing in 2017 left a hole in her heart that she carried with grace. She was the loving mother of Aaron Martinez (married to Rebecca) and Daniel Martinez (married to Rachel), and the stepmother of Victor Jr. (married to Carla) and Michael Garcia. Linda took great joy in watching her family grow.
Linda was the proud grandmother of Casey, Samantha, Camden, Camille, and Dominic (children to Aaron and Rebecca); Alexa, Systine, and Noah (children to Daniel and Rachel); Taylor and Tiffany (children to Victor and Carla). She was also blessed with the joy of great-grandchildren, including Emery, Iyla, Aubrey, Addilyn, Christopher, Layla, and Elle.
A devoted daughter to the late Gregorio and Bertha Tamez, Linda is survived by her siblings: Gloria, Bob, John, Michael, and Bertha. She was preceded in death by her brother Gregory George, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Linda's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her willingness to lend a hand to those in need. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and spirit.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel in
