David Nix Obituary

Born October 23, 1944, in Lincolnton, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Martin Clinton Nix and Pauline "Polly" Roberts Nix. Mr. Nix was a member of the Dalzell Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated David Nix Construction Company.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 54 years, include two sons, Andrew James "Andy" Nix (Stacy) and Scott Clinton Nix (Meghan); four granddaughters, Marian Elizabeth Nix "Maribeth" Hill (Andrew), Claudia "Rollins" Nix, Caroline Wherry Nix, and Annabelle Rose Nix; one sister, Barbara Jean "B.J." Cathey; two brothers, Carl Michael "Mike" Nix (Claudia) and Robert Stephen "Bob" Nix (Debbie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, December 20, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Dalzell Methodist Church, 3330 Black River Road, Dalzell, SC 29040.
Memorials may be sent to Dalzell Methodist Church, or Thomas Sumter Academy, 5265 Camden Hwy., Rembert, SC 29128.
