David A. Pakacki, Sr., 82, of Johnstown, formerly of York, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. He was the beloved husband of LeaDonna Raye (Rose) Pakacki.
Mr. Pakacki was born in Baltimore, MD on September 16, 1939 and was the son of the late Adam and Ada (Wilburn) Pakacki.
When he was young, David worked on his family farm. He later worked for BMY Defense Systems and retired from New Concepts as a material handler. He enjoyed classic cars, tinkering around the house and collecting scrap metal.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Shook of Thomasville, James Pakacki of Baltimore, MD, Martin Pakacki of Johnstown and Christina Burnham of Delta. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Sabrina, Mikey, Adam, Sarah, Crissy, Christopher and Jenny; 19 great grandchildren; and siblings, Richard Pakacki of Rural Retreat, VA, Catherine Ridgley of Baltimore, MD, and Ada Buckheit of Dundalk, MD.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Pakacki, Jr.; a daughter, Eleanora "Puffy" Pakacki; as well as three brothers, Adam, Joseph and Robert Pakacki.
A viewing for David will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday and will begin at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
