David Steven Palkowski

David Steven Palkowski, 56, of Ashville, Ohio passed peacefully in his home surrounded by friends and caregivers on November 3, 2024. Steve touched the lives of many people with his charismatic personality, sense of humor, his smile, and charm! Steve loved his friends, was an active community member, and a passionate and outgoing member of Special Olympics! He loved to play softball for the Pickaway County Hawks, participated in powerlifting and was an assistant basketball coach! Steve was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes and made it to a couple of games and even met some of the players! Steve enjoyed weekly outings with his provider, Sherry Nelson, and friends going out to eat, feeding the geese and creating crafts to decorate his home! He loved Hallmark Movies and his favorite holiday was Christmas. His favorite season was fall in which he celebrated at the Circleville Pumpkin Show meeting up with his friends!
Steve retired after 20 years of working for Healthcare Logistics in Circleville and Grove City, Ohio. He loved his work and the friendships he had, even after his retirement. Steve also worked as a dishwasher at the Ashbrook Bar and Grill in Ashville, Ohio. He not only enjoyed the work, but the socialization brought him closer to his community. To top it off, his favorite part of the job was Cody's cooking!
Steve is proceeded in death by his beloved parents, David and Shirley Palkowski. He is survived by his two brothers Brian (Melissa) Palkowski, and Kenny Palkowski, his niece and nephew.

Visitation will be at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, Ohio on November 6, 2024 from 10 am – 11:30 am with a funeral service immediately following. Final resting place will take place at Harrison Township Cemetary, South Bloomfield, Ohio.
