David Lew Parry, born on April 11, 1949, went home to his Lord on September 9, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Victoria (Meredith Wilson) Parry, his brother Dennis (Eddie) Jantzen, nieces Jenette & Rhonda, daughter Jodi Hasse, 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

David and Vicky earned their nicknames "The Lazy Tom Cat " and "House Mouse" driving and living on the road for 25 + years for Crete Carrier. He served his country in the U.S. Army Armored Cavalry Troop during the Vietnam war. In 2024 he was awarded the Quilt of Valor.

He loved hunting and fishing with his great grandson Dominik, the most in life. He would have been so proud and happy the way his family came together and surrounded him with love as he left this life.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lois Bell Jantzen, sisters Bonnie and Betty, nephew Brian Jantzen and son-in-law Brett L. Hasse, Sr.

Services will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury with burial in Fairbury Cemetery. Memorials will go to the Family's Choice. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
