David Harold Paul

David Harold Paul, 59, of Merritt, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

David was a familiar and trusted face throughout the community, known for his years of dedicated work as an HVAC technician. He installed and serviced countless heating and air units across the area, and many relied on his skill, honesty, and steady work ethic. More than just a tradesman, David was a man with a good heart-always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge, or show up when someone was in need.

While he took pride in his work, nothing meant more to David than his family. He loved with his whole heart, and his devotion to his wife, children, and especially his grandsons was evident in everything he did. His grandsons were his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Vicky Paul; brother, Tuggy Paul; and nephew, Troy Paul.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 38 years, Jennifer Paul; his daughter, Katie Hardison (Eric); and his beloved grandsons, Easton and Evan Hardison. He is also survived by his father- and mother-in-law, James and Linda Brinson; his sister-in-law, Amanda Brinson; three nieces, Emily, Madison, and Sarah; and one nephew, Brice.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at his daughter’s home.
