David Ronald Pierson

David Ronald Pierson, 80, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. Born on September 29, 1944, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, David lived a full and meaningful life, touching the hearts of many with his kindness and dedication.

David spent many years in Shopping Center Management, where his unwavering work ethic and attention to detail made a lasting impact until his well-deserved retirement. Beyond his professional achievements, David had a passion for woodworking and an impressive collection of antique tools that he treasured. These interests were not just hobbies; they were expressions of his creativity and appreciation for craftsmanship.

A man of faith, David was a devoted member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and a sense of community. Above all, David cherished his family deeply and was a beloved pillar of support and love to them throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Judy Deem Pierson; his daughter, Stefanie Pierson; his parents, Bruce Pierson and Eileen McGiven Pierson; and his brother, Bruce Pierson.

His legacy continues through those who survive him: his son, Dr. Eric Pierson of Wilmington; his brother, Brian Pierson of Philadelphia, PA; his six grandchildren, Samantha Stephens, Alexis Stephens, Sarah Pierson, Ryan Pierson, and Matthew Pierson; and a host of extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.

In honoring David's wishes, the family will not hold local services. Burial will take place in his cherished hometown of Martinsburg, West Virginia, where he will be laid to rest alongside his beloved family members.
