David Pike Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ricker Funeral Homes & Crematory - Lebanon on Apr. 18, 2024.
David D. Pike, 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Orange NH on April 6, 2024. He was born on December 21, 1943 in Connecticut to Leslie and Judith Pike. He graduated from UNH with a degree in Forestry and graduated from the National Hardwood Lumber Grading School in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a member of the US Air Force from 1964 to 1970. David married Nancy Mueller in 1968 and they welcomed a daughter into their lives in 1973. They moved to Orange, NH from Hooksett, NH in 1980. David worked in the lumber business buying, selling and grading lumber for over forty years. He loved the outdoors, reading, hunting, fishing, target shooting, kayaking, the Red Sox, and his family. He also enjoyed traveling to California and traveling with family and friends.
David is survived by Nancy, his wife of 56 years, daughter Jennifer (Jenna), her husband James McAlister and their son Steven, brother Daniel Pike and his wife Patricia, niece Kimberly and nephew Sean, and Nancy's sister, Janet Mueller.
His family would like to thank the wonderful people at Dartmouth Hospital, Bayada, Cornerstone Care of New England, and Dee Druge for their care that allowed David to be at home where he wanted to be at the end of his life.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the Church Cemetery in Orange on Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 pm, with a reception and celebration of life to follow immediately after at the Orange Town Hall. Family and friends are welcome to attend both, or just the celebration of life.
