David Pike Obituary

He was born in Dansville on October 29, 1944, a son of the late Nelson and Ora Mae (Chasey) Pike. He also was predeceased by his wife Marilyn Fuller Pike in 2002, a brother Gary Pike, and nephew Rodney Pike.
Dave was a Machinist for the former Foster Wheeler Energy Corp in Dansville for 38 years. He attended York Baptist Church. He was a Charter member of the West Sparta Fire Department and a 2nd Lieutenant of the Jackson Hose Company of the Dansville Fire Department, a member of the WNYVFA. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and traveling with his wife "R" and visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Taft Pike: three daughters Lori Colella and Carie (Darin) Grzenda, Tawny Kelledy, a son, Shane Taft; two brothers Randy (Gloria) Pike and Lynn (Jacquelyn) Pike. Eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-7pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., in Dansville. Services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at York Baptist Church, 2738 Main Street York, NY 14592. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Online memories may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
