David Samuel Pogue

David Samuel Pogue, 71, left this earth on January 31, 2026. He served his country as a jet engine mechanic in the US Air Force for 20 years and attained the rank of MSGT. Upon retiring from the Air Force, he worked for Bridgestone Firestone until they closed. Upon their closure he returned to vo-tech school to graduate as a diesel engine mechanic. He worked at Peterbilt until he retired to enjoy his hobbies. David was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and playing games with family or on the computer.

David was preceded in death by his parents, William "WJ" and Dora Dean Pogue; and two brothers, Steven Pogue and Timothy Pogue.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy Merkey of Oklahoma City; sister, Cathy (Kent) Swanson of Yukon, OK; sister, Kay Neuenschwander of Oklahoma City; brother, Dennis Pogue (Kristi) of Moore, OK; sister, Sharon Alston of Oklahoma City; sister, Joy (Darren) Sims of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams is Thursday, 12-8pm with family present from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 11:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
