Born on September 24, 1940 in Harrisonburg, VA, he was the son of the late James F. Poland and Mary (Wise) Poland.
David was a graduate of Capon Bridge High School, Class of 1959 and worked as a mechanic.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert G. Poland.
He is survived by his siblings, Neil Poland of Romney, WV, Michael Poland of Rio, WV and Libby Walker of Kansas City, Kansas.
All services are private and handled by McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV.
