David was born on August 30, 1954, in Copenhagen to the late Edwin "Ted" and Nancy (Fleming) Pond.
After graduating from Copenhagen Central School, David enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country from 1973 to 1985. David spent 22 years with General Electric as a project manager, where he played a key role in facilitating the start-up of co-generation plants across the globe.
He married the love of his life, Debbie Aubin, on February 14, 1987, at their home in Copenhagen.
David enjoyed spending much of his time at his beloved camp, where he loved going hunting or spending time with his dogs. Most of all, David enjoyed spending quality time with his wife, Deborah, or his children, and making sure they all had smiles on their faces!
