David William Powell, 49, passed away in the evening of July 31, 2025.
Visitation: 4-6pm Friday August 8 in Prince – Gray Chapel at Browning Funeral Home 116 Wheeler Street Weatherford
Funeral Service: 10am Saturday August 9 at Greenwood Baptist Church, 1504 Greenwood Cut Off Rd Weatherford
Interment: Poe Prairie Cemetery, Millsap
David was born March 31, 1976 in Garden City, MI; son of Kenneth David Powell and Judy Ann (Lafortune) Powell.
He met the love of his life, Jana Wallace, and they were married on September 16, 2000. They would go on to spend nearly 25 happy years together.
David enjoyed many outdoor adventures, including: camping, kayaking, rock climbing, scuba diving, and shooting. He was mechanical by nature and enjoyed restoring his trucks and tractors and tinkering in the garage. David was always working on a project.
Of all of his interests in life, David’s first love was his family. His wife and children were the light of his life, and all of his favorite activities included spending time with them.
David was a strong man of faith, with a deep love for the Lord and a heart of service for the body. He had the honor and privilege of baptizing all four of his children.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Ann Marie Powell.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jana Powell; son, David Garrett Powell; daughters, Nellie AnnMarie Powell, Nora AnnaBelle Powell, and Dottie AnnaClaire Powell; numerous other family members and a lifetime of friends.
