David Jerome Puckett, 61, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away on January 12, 2026, at home peacefully.
Born on March 2nd in Atlanta, Georgia. David grew up in Cumming, GA and graduated from Forsyth Co High School in 1982 where he played trombone in the Marching band. David worked at General Motors for 35 years until retiring in August of 2024.
David was a very devoted father. He will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, never complaining and loved his Georgia Bulldogs.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Freddy and Cathy Puckett. David is survived by his children, Sydney Puckett of Newnan, GA; Mackenzie (Andres) Acevedo of Brooksville, FL; Tyler Puckett of Lakeland, FL. David is also survived by two grandchildren due later this year. Other family members include Aunt Judy (Larry) Westray of Cumming, GA, and Cousins Paula (Joe) Boulware of Cumming, GA, Emma Jo (Dayton) Petty of Lawrenceville, GA, Lynn Tew Family (Cheryl, Leslie) of Fayetteville, GA, Terry Walters Family (Phyllis) of Griffin, GA, Denise Doane Family (Joshua) of Cape Coral, FL, Carol Cacciola Family (John, Jennifer, Nicholas) of Newborn, GA, Larry Watts and family of Griffin, GA, Chuck Watts and family of Bremen, GA.
A celebration of life to be announced later by the family.

We love David so much and I am so lucky to have spent more time with him and his children in the last few years. We could never forget him! <3 He was a loving man.

David was a dear friend and a good man. I will miss him greatly. His children were his world and my heart goes out to them, his aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends as well.
