David was born to Charles and Mary (Boyer) Rexroat on April 25,1955, and was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1973 and Hanover College Class of 1977. David spent his most formative years living in Indiana, excelling as an athlete in his youth. He also leaves behind his sisters Nina Rexroat and Joni Erwin, his brother in law Steve Erwin, as well as two nieces and a nephew.
