David (Dave) R Reynolds, 69, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on September 9th at his home. Dave was born to Wilber E Reynolds and Joan Fleener Reynolds on 08/16/1956 in Bloomington, Indiana. Dave graduated from Bloomington High School North in 1974. David is survived by his children, Jodi Reynolds of Bloomington, Michael Reynolds of Bloomington, and Kyle Reynolds (Clara) of Bloomington. He is also survived by two grandsons Jayden Howard, and Jacoby Reynolds both of Bloomington, stepson Taylor Bastin, nephew Jake Stephenson and niece Shelley Stephenson, both of Bloomington, brother-in-law Chuck Stephenson, and his cat, Kitters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karla Reynolds, his father and mother, his sister Pam Stephenson and one great-nephew grandson Lucas Ryan Stephenson. David was a well-known local musician – who could play just about any instrument you put in his hands. He was also a talented mechanic and an all-around "MacGyver" when it came to fixing something. Allen Funeral Home is assisting with cremation services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. On-line condolences, photos, and memories may be shared with family and friends at www.allencares.com . Instead of flowers, please consider donating to the Monroe County Humane Society, The Monroe County Animal Shelter, or Pets Alive.

Dave 'Roadrace' Reynolds was one of the best guitarists I've ever known or played with. His humor was raw and funny as hell. He could imitate any motor, from any make or time period, and fix one, too.
He will always be an inspiration to me, and one of my all-time best friends.
