He was born October 26th, 1944, in Pocatello, Idaho, and grew up in River Heights, Utah. David's life was marked by his unwavering faith, commitment to service, and love for his family.
While attending Arizona State University, David met Lucia Thomas, and they married on February 14th, 1970. He served in the United States Army Reserve, was also an active HAM Radio operator, and volunteered with the Army MARS organization, contributing his skills to support military communications. Additionally, David served as a Major in the Civil Air Patrol. Service was the motto of David’s life.
Beyond his service, David was an accomplished impressionist painter known for his vibrant depictions of Southern Utah's breathtaking landscapes, which he sold in the Juniper Sky Gallery in the Kayenta Art Village near St. George, UT.
