David Steven Roberson

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - David Steven Roberson, life long Cookeville resident, passed away on his 68th birthday, Sunday, January 25, 2026. Born in Cookeville, TN, on January 25, 1958, David devoted his life to enriching the lives of those around him through his kindness, humor, and reliability.

David enjoyed a successful career as a Real Estate Appraiser and took great pride in renovating and flipping houses, showcasing his keen eye for detail and design. Previously, he was the owner of Roberson Motors, an automobile sales business, where he built lasting relationships with customers and friends alike.

The essence of David was reflected in his personality; he was known for his kind and caring nature, a sense of humor that could brighten the darkest days, and an unwavering dependability that endeared him to many. His presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

David is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Roberson; his son, Ryan Roberson; his brother, Mike Roberson; and his sister, Debra Norris. He was preceded in death by his father, James Clyde Roberson.

A funeral service honoring David will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday February 1 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Pastor TJ Azar will officiate. Visitation for friends and family will be from 12 - 2 p.m. David will be laid to rest next to his father at Beasley Cemetery.
