Obituary of David Lee Rodriguez
Our beloved David Lee Rodriguez was received in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 15, 2023 at the age of 24 years old. David Lee was born January 14, 1999 to his beloved parents, David and Victoria Rodriguez of Haines City, Florida.
All who had the blessing of meeting and knowing David Lee knew right away what his favorite things were. He thoroughly enjoyed his time dancing on his bed and listening to his favorite music. That was his absolute favorite pastime. To know David Lee is to know that his most favorite drink was an ice cold sweet tea! Not a day went by that he didn't enjoy getting ready and going for a ride to his favorite place, McDonald's, to buy his large sweet tea. A large was the only size he requested and wouldn't accept a sweet tea in anything other than a large cup from McDonald's itself. David Lee loved being read the book, El Chavo, as well as watching the show with both his grandfathers. He brought so much joy and laughter with his lively and silly personality as well as his dance moves. His favorite color was orange and he always had a fan made of paper in his hands. A precious young man, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and grandson who now is dancing in the presence of Jesus.
David Lee is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ramiro and Hilda Rodriguez, maternal grandparents, Arturo and Engracia Cortez, uncle Raymundo Rodriguez and cousin, Melisa "Missy" Cole.
David Lee is survived by his parents, David and Victoria Rodriguez; sister, Patricia (Miguel) Charrez of Ocilla, Georgia; sister Hilda (Emmanuel) Perez of Haines City, Florida; Nieces: Victoria Charrez, Chloe Perez, Zoey Perez; nephews: Miguel Charrez and Patrick Perez; as well as several uncles, aunts, and cousins. David Lee was loved big by all his family members who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida with Pastor Carlos Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023 from 5-8 pm. David Lee Rodriguez will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery.
