David Elijah Romines

David Elijah Romines, "DE", 90, of Tupelo, passed away peacefully on May the 8th, 2024 at his home in Tupelo surrounded by his loving family. DE was born on August 10, 1933 in Eureka, Oklahoma to his parents Norbie Romines and Dessie (Kirby) Romines. He graduated high school in 1952 and gained a successful career at Pre-Paid Legal Services and dedicated over twenty years to this industry. On October 22, 1952, DE married the love of his life, Geraldine Weller, and they shared seventy-one beautiful years together as well as proudly raised their four boys, David, Jerry, Roger, and Ricky.
DE was a hard working cattleman who raised many herds over the years, and when he wasn't't on the farm, you could always find him at his church. He was Tupelo Baptist Church's longest standing member and he revered his title of Deacon and dutifully served his community for numerous years. He was a loving and devoted husband to Geraldine and took pride in his care for her throughout their years together, especially in their later years. DE absolutely loved and adored his family, and cherished every second that he spent with them, his legacy will forever live on through them and the memories he made with them.
DE is survived by his wife Geraldine Romines, his children David Romines and wife Sheila Romines, Jerry Lynn Romines and wife Darlann Romines, Roger Romines and wife Holly Romines and Ricky Romines and wife Kandie Romines; Grandchildren Brandy Forsyth, Dustin Romines and wife Renay Romines, Derrick Romines, Travis Romines and wife Megan Romines, Courtney McGill and husband Nathan McGill, Jared Romines, Lucas Romines and wife Lexi Romines, Brett Romines, Kelsie Anderson and husband Tyler Anderson, Kaleigh Romines, and Twenty-four great grand kids.
DE is preceded in death by his parents Norbie and Dessie Romines, and his granddaughter Tracy Romines.
There will be a funeral service held on to honor DE's life on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 the at the First Baptist Church in Tupelo, Oklahoma at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at Bird's Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo.
Prior to the service, visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home in Ada on Friday, May the 10th, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, viewing will begin that morning at 8:00AM.
