David Roos Obituary

Rev. Dr. Roos was born on May 18, 1934 and passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. He graduated from Arp High School in 1950 at age sixteen and received a B.A. Degree in Theology from Southwestern Assembly of God College at Waxahachie, Texas in May 1954. He graduated from the Chaplain School of the United States Army at Fort Slocum, New York in 1958. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the First Christian Church, 111 North 5th Street, Murray, KY with Rev. Dr. Ruth Ragovin officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, and preceding the funeral service from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at the First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to First Christian Church of Murray, Needline of Murray, or the Murray-Calloway County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

David Roos is one of the finest men we have ever known. God is truly blessed with a awesome angel. Always true to his faith, his family and himself. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Goodbye dear friend.
