David Ervin Sackman, 60, of Silver Lake Kansas passed away on March 11, 2025, at his home. David was born on December 2, 1964, in Topeka, Kansas to Ervin L and (Violet) Grace (Christensen) Sackman. David graduated from Silver Lake High School. After graduation David jobs were working for a roofing company, Pruett Appliance, Factory Direct for many years before going to Greenbrier working on railroad cars for Santa Fa Railroad and lastly retiring from Target Distribution.
David loved watching his sports. His favorite teams Kansas State University, Kansas City Chief or Dallas Cowboys.
David is preceded in death by his mother (Violet) Grace Sackman, a brother Frederick A Sackman and three brother in laws Todd Treinen, Kevin Juedes and Jimmy Essman.
He is survived by his father Ervin L Sackman and three sister Monica Juedes-Essman of Silver Lake, Ks, Julie (Darrel) Stithem of Hoyt, Ks and Lori Treinen of Topeka, Ks. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Tammy Cobler, Scott Juedes, Jason Essman, Hayley Stover, Travis Stover, John Stithem, Bruce Stithem, Lisa Cowser and Doug Stithem. David also has many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery on April 5,2025 at 11:00 am and will follow with a lunch at the Lakeside Baptist Church at 10435 NW Parr Rd, Silver Lake, Kansas
