Sally Ann (Mohr) Sackman, 92, passed away on December 16, 2025, at Autumn Lakes Rehabilitation following a brief illness.
Sally was born on October 29, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio to parents James and Wally (Williams) Mohr. Sally grew up in Toledo, Ohio attending Notre Dame Academy (51). She met the love of her life, John (Jack) Sackman and were married in 1955. Together they had 5 children.
A devoted wife and mother and adoring grandmother and great grandmother, Sally's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness and joy. Her greatest joy came in her later years while spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. By them, she was lovingly referred to as Gram, Grandma Sally, Grandma and GG.
Sally volunteered her time and service at St. Andrew by the Bay in Annapolis, Maryland, and Hospice of the Chesapeake, Chesapeake Estates in Chester, Maryland. She was always helping others whenever she could.
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Wally Mohr, her husband John (Jack) Sackman, her son, James Sackman and sister Geraldine (Mohr) Fleming; she is survived by her children Barbara (Bill) Story, John (Kristen) Sackman, Thomas (Linda) Sackman and Mary (Mark) Davenport and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by Hardesty Funeral Home in Gambrills, Maryland. She will be cremated in accordance with her wishes, and a Catholic service will be held at St. Andrew by the Bay on February 26, 2025, at 11am with burial at a later date in Toledo, Ohio.
