David A. Sauers, age 91 of Bradfordwoods, formerly of Ingomar, and Woods Run died Thursday, April 10, 2025
Husband of Kathleen Goerl DeWeese and the late Patricia Lewis.
Son of the late Raymond Sauer and Edith Kerr. Brother to Charles (Chris) Sauers, the late Raymond Sauers, Carol Prenn, and Jane Wauchter.
Dave is survived by his sons: David A. (Elaine), Daniel A. (Marie Kovesci), Dennis A. (Kerri), and Douglas A. (Karen) Sauers, and the stepsons Jamie (Rose) DeWeese, and Neil (Kevin McDermott) DeWeese.
Grandfather of Matthew, Elena, Jenna, Patrick, Dillon, Dallas, Douglas, Jr., Devin Sauers and Jacob DeWeese and GiGi Naumovski. Also 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle Dave, Repairman Dave, Mentor, Neighbor, Friend; he was beloved by all. His legacy is simple: Be guided by faith and integrity, serve with love and kindness. Dave took delight in the wonders of the world every day. World traveler, skydiver, bungy jumper, zipline builder, tree climber, marathon runner, cyclist, Dave did it all. He and Kathy enjoyed traveling the world together.
Dave proudly served his country as a member of the 82nd Airborne. He was a 55 year member of Steamfitters Local 449.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-8 at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home, 1600 Stone Mansion Dr. Franklin Park, PA 15143. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Aidan Parish, St. Alphonsus Church on Monday at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sauers Family Fund at the Pittsburgh Foundation or to Paws Across Pittsburgh.
