David G. Scheiderer, 79, of Marysville, passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
One of two boys, David was born in Columbus on May 16, 1945, to the late Milton J.E. and Irene M.E. (Rausch) Scheiderer. A 1963 graduate of Marysville High School, he enjoyed his job at Westreco as an Accountant/Bookkeeper before working at McAuliffe's. He was also a member and former treasurer at Buckeye Leather Crafters of Central Ohio. A man of strong faith, he was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church where he became a life-long and devoted member along with his family.
David enjoyed his life to the fullest. He enjoyed listening to church hymns, or country music-especially Willie Nelson. He found joy in traveling with his brother Allan to leather shows all over the US, with several other memorable trips, especially New York City. An avid sports fan, David and Allan attended many OSU football games, including the Rose Bowl, as well as Columbus Blue Jackets hockey games. Another thing David loved was painting, and he found himself to be very artistic. He also enjoyed harness racing and was especially fond of "the Little Brown Jug."
David and his brother, Allan, were inseparable-where one was, the other was sure to be. Whether traveling together, sharing meals at their favorite restaurants, such as MCL in Columbus and Der Dutchman, or simply enjoying each other's company, their bond was unbreakable and truly special.
David will be tremendously missed by his brother, Allan M. Scheiderer; and numerous cousins and extended family.
Preceding David in death are his parents, Milton and Irene; and his very good friend, Rod Strausbaugh, from his time at Westreco.
Calling hours will be 11 am-1 pm, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 12809 OH-736, Marysville, where funeral services to celebrate David's life will begin promptly at 1 pm with Rev. Jack Heino officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In David's memory, contributions may be made to the Golden Eagles at St. John's.
Ingram & Snyder funeral is honored to serve David's family during this time, and condolences may be expressed to them at www.ingramfuneralservice.com
