David M. Searcy, Jr., 59, a lifelong resident of Highlands, passed away Sunday, May 22nd. David was born in Red Bank, on April 10, 1963, a son of Elizabeth Searcy, of Highlands and the late David M Searcy, Sr. David was a self-employed contractor and an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing and could not wait to take his grandsons with him. Dave also enjoyed sports, and the Giants and Mets were his favorite teams. Dave loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh.
David is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Carmen DeBari, of Hazlet; and his son David Searcy, III, of Highlands. He also leaves behind a sister, Terri Bujalski; 2 grandsons; Carter and Chase DeBari; along with his nephew Jason (Jess) Bujalski and their children; Ty, Karly and Travis.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
