Coach Shea was beyond awesome including our Kelly with Bacon sports all through the years! Especially with asking her to help with, The Girls Basketball Team! Including being part of the 2009 girl´s basketball state championship! Asking her to help with The Bacon Boys Baseball team taking stats & more all which gave her a life long love of baseball. You were one special coach in town that Kelly connected with, talked sports with, and even years after high school... she always wanted to stop by your home, and chat (whenever she was up visiting from Florida.) You were always a gracious soul. Coach you really made a difference in our Kelly´s world! and my parent heart cannot thank you enough. RIP Dear Coach Shea. You will be truly missed. Thank You!

when I met Coach Shea and his family many years ago I learned that we both had ancestors who had emigrated from Valentia Island, County Kerry, Ireland. I was delighted then and now to be connected in any way with this great man. My condolences to the family.

What do you say about a legend. Dave was everywhere and meant everything in Colchester. I can´t compute the number of lives he impacted but it was thousands of students, athletes, friends and admirers. Dave and Dottie were the best and it was an honor and pleasure to have known both. My condolences to family and friends for your loss. Colchester lost a great one.

When I think of Coach Shea, I remember a gentle giant who was a leader on and off the court. His confidence and experience along with his calming leadership always motivated the team. He was someone we all looked up to and respected. We will miss you Coach!

Coach Shea was an institution in this town. Even after he retired from coaching he was ever present at most sporting events. The town will not be the same without him. I know he has a very long list of attributes, but what struck me the most, when you met him around town, he remembered everyone and he was very kind. God Bless you, Coach.
