Dave was born May 11, 1956, in Flint the son of William "Bill" and Syliva (King) Sheppard. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1975. Dave married Cheryl Ingersoll on June 20, 1991. He served his country in the US Army. He worked for Alma Products until his retirement in 2019. Dave was a member of the UAW. He loved volunteering and going to the Wheatland Music Festival. He enjoyed going on drives with his wife and special dog Barney, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, children Jennifer "Uh Boo" (Jim) Doan, Donald Hutchinson III, Cortnie Beechler, eight grandchildren, mother and father-in-law Carolyn and Robert Ingersoll, sister-in-law Linda (Ray) Parsons and brother-in-law William (Val) Ingersoll.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Syliva and sister Susan.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 1 pm at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Riverdale and a large celebration of life service will be held later in the summer.
