David Skinner

David Wayne Skinner, age 69, of Milner, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at his residence.
David was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 23, 1955. His parents, Hugh Skinner and Mary Lou Bottoms Skinner, brothers, Terry Skinner and Bruce Skinner, sister, Barbara Henson, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, A.W. and Bernice Dunn, all preceded him in death. He was a member of Center Point Church, in years past he was a gifted drummer, powerlifting, playing softball, and in 2003 he won the State of Georgia Arm Wrestling Trophy. His friends referred to him as Pine or Gentle Giant. David retired from Yellow Freight/ Roadway after 40 years of service having had local and over road trucking routes and he obtained several awards for his driving miles and safe driving.
He is survived by his wife, Lindy Dunn Skinner; daughter, Lindsay Skinner; sisters, Gloria Russell and Carolyn Skinner; sister-in-law, Reba Skinner; brother-in-law, Ricky Henson; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for David Skinner will be on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Followed by a funeral service in the chapel. Pastor Trey Powell will officiate. Interment will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Pike County.
