One of my first memories of my Uncle David was of him holding me up on his shoulders while going on walks in the woods with my grandma Jeanie, and my mom Rita. I was probably about 4 with this first memory . He absolutely loved art, specifically his momma´s art work. Uncle David loved finding things like ancient looking keys, different kinds of glass work on our walks. I think I am much the same way even now. I know he loved to sing!! He was the first person who got me interested in playing piano. He loved watching people doing glass work at the
Renaissance Festival. Glass blowing and manipulating it into beautiful pieces of art. Oh my gosh, he loved his plants! Recently our favorite place to go in Texas was this place called Ma´as Nursery. Between Uncle David, my mom, my sister Lauren, & myself this was our Ultimate place to go walk and plant shop. Grandmarie, I called his mom, was a huge gardener. I think this is where many of our love of plants and gardening started. He was a people watcher, coffee drinker, lover of arts, & plants, his dog Casey who he named after me. I know he is so very happy right now. He is surrounded by his Daddy and Momma, Aunt Margaret, Uncle Jimmy, Uncle Mark, Casey his puppy dog, and soooo sooo many family and friends that have gone home to Heaven. I know they are patiently waiting to welcome us all home with loving arms & such joy. This life is such a gift. Uncle David was such a gift. I miss Uncle David´s witty remarks lol. Thanks Uncle David. You were simply quite amazing & made our lives so colorful, beautiful.
