David Snodgrass Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Chapel Inc on Jan. 9, 2026.
David Wayne Snodgrass, age 86 of Horse Branch, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford, Kentucky. Born on February 2, 1939, in Butler County, Kentucky, David's life was a testament to the values of hard work, and dedication.
David's early years in Butler County were filled with the love and camaraderie of a large family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morton and Lillie Alford Snodgrass, and his seven siblings, Willard, C J, Lonnie, James, Roy, Stoy Snodgrass, Imogene Dockery, and Pearl Phelps. David's legacy is carried on by his devoted wife of 66 years, Luzetta Snodgrass of Horse Branch, Kentucky, whom he married on December 10, 1960. Together, they built a life full of joy, laughter, and mutual support. David is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. After his service, David embarked on a career as a truck driver and mechanic. His work was not just a job but a passion. His mechanical skills were unmatched, and he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. David was a member of the Cromwell Community Church, and his interests were a reflection of his character. He loved working with his hands, whether it was tinkering with a stubborn engine, driving a truck, or tending to his yard. His love for the outdoors and nature was evident to all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Bobby Joe Phelps officiating. Burial will be in the Isiah Evans Cemetery where military rights will be presented by the Ohio County AM VETS and his family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
