Joyce Flener Obituary
Joyce was the daughter to the late Ishmael and Virginia Moore Neighbors. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kinnith R. Flener, and her sister, Glenda Phelps. Her legacy continues through her loving family, including her three children, Kinnith "Kenny" Flener Jr. (Nancy) of Hazel, KY; Brian Kieth Flener (Melisa) of Morgantown, KY; and Kelly Jo Hudnall of Rochester, KY. Joyce's life was further enriched by the joy of her nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Joyce's brother, Mike Neighbors (Debbie), of Owensboro, KY, along with several nieces and nephews.
Joyce served her community with pride as a retired custodian for the Butler County Board of Education. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Joyce was also member of the Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church. Joyce's interests were a reflection of her vibrant personality. She enjoyed fishing and quilting but above all, Joyce cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating. Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery where Michael, Caleb, Briar and Jaxsen Flener, Chris Phelps and Gavin Duncan will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Saturday 10:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Cemetery Fund 3080 Brownsville Road Morgantown, KY 42261.
