Bruce E. Flener, 74, of Evansville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Bruce was born on April 13, 1951, in Evansville to the late Justus O. Flener and Mary Pauline (Prince) Flener. He worked for Kent Plastics in his younger years and later for METS as a bus driver for over 30 years. Bruce was a 1970 graduate of FJ Reitz High School and a member of the Romeo Club that continued to get together monthly to visit one another. Bruce enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events, metal detecting, going out to dinner and traveling, especially taking cruises.

Surviving Bruce are his wife, Terri Flener; daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Brian Jenkins; son, Kyle Flener; stepson and his wife, John and Brandi Hahn; sister, Beth Ann Swiniarski and her husband, John; brother, Timothy Flener and his wife, Dawn and grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia and Dustin Jenkins. Also surviving Bruce are a niece and her husband, Kasey and Dale Hobbs and their children, Evan, Lillie and Aiden Hobbs.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Rita Flener.

Funeral services for Bruce will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Duwayne Blair officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
