David Starn

David Starn was born on July 19, 1946, in Turlock, CA to Rodney and Louise Starn. He passed away on October 5th, 2025, in Oakdale, CA surrounded by family and loved ones.
Dave is survived by his wife, Pat, to whom he was married for twenty-three years; his sister, Joyce Reed; his children, Rodney and Dawn Starn, and Jennie Massett. Dave was also survived by his stepchildren, Stephen and Carol Thoresen, Michael and Angelica Stanfield, and Steven and Erin Stanfield, as well as his ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Dave has farmed almonds in the Turlock and Hickman area for over 60 years and was a master at his craft. Dave found his joy in farming and loved his ranches and was proud to be a farmer. Although Dave was known as a farmer, his knowledge of Caterpillar tractor equipment was well known. When not farming, Dave found joy in spending time with Pat traveling the world, spoiling his grandkids, and building model trains. Dave was also a well-known pilot and has owned and operated many airplanes through the years.
There will be a private entombment with a celebration of life to be announced later.
