David James Steines Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David James Steines, Jr., age 60 of Rochester Hills. He was taken from us on October 2, 2024. Dave had a way of looking at life, no matter what it had thrown his way, he was always planning his next adventure. Anyone that knew Dave, knew how dedicated he was to his boys Jack and Aaron. He was their coach on multiple sport teams, their Scout Leader, their golf partner, and their undeniably biggest supporter. Dave graduated from Eastern Michigan University, although he did earn his degree there, he also gained so much in the lifelong friends he made. His friends were countless and devoted through Dave's relentless disease. Dave was a sports fan, but baseball was closest to his heart-his card collection was like no other. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Loving son of Shirley and the late David Steines, Sr., dear father of Jack Steines and Aaron Steines, brother of Daniel (Jodi) Steines, uncle of Jake Steines and Dominic Steines. Dog Uncle of Stella, like a brother to Stephanie (Michael) Purvis and her children, Liam, and Eleanor Purvis. Nephew of the late Charles (Ellie) Steines and Suzanne (Dick) Robertson. Survived by many cousins.
