Frances R. Steines, 78, of Sharon, passed away surrounded by her family following an extended illness on Monday evening, November 25, 2024, in Saint John XXIII Home in Hermitage.
Mrs. Steines was born July 3, 1946, in Sharon, a daughter of the late William and Mabel (Wathan) Osborne, Sr. and was a graduate of Hickory High School in Hermitage.
Fran, a bus driver for Hermitage schools, retired in 1991.
Her husband Edward Steines, Sr., whom she married on September 11, 1965, preceded her in death on August 31, 2014.
She was of Catholic faith and a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
Franny was an active member and supporter of the Hermitage Little League and enjoyed playing Euchre with her card club. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Fran is survived by a daughter, Regina Scarmack (Brian), Sharon; three sons, Bruce Steines (Myra), Whittier, CA, Edward Steines (Demia), Hermitage, and Michael Steines (Brenda), Sharpsville; 10 grandchildren, Angel, Brianna (Chad Piccirilli), Isabella, Zachary, Madelyn, Zoe, Fiona, Hunter, Alexis, and Hayden; two great-grandchildren, Cecilia and Emilia; and her brother, William Osborne, Hermitage.
In addition to her parents and husband, Fran was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Osborne; and three sisters, Betty Preston, Virginia Osborne, and Margaret DeJulia.
Memorial donations may be directed to Saint John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Fwy, Hermitage, PA 16148.
Calling hours will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday (11-29-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.

A funeral service will be held immediately following at 10:30 a.m., in the funeral home, with Rev. James Power, officiating.
Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
