David Stitchick Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grace Memorial Cremations and Burials - Clinton Township on Jan. 31, 2026.
David Stitchick, a cherished soul known for his hearty laughter and generous spirit, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in Port Huron, at the age of 59. Born on March 3, 1966, in Detroit, David's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought to everyone around him.
David's journey began as the beloved son of Lloyd and Diane (Sliter) Stitchick. His life was rich with the love of his family, including his former spouse, and the love of his life, Michele Ross of Roseville. Together, they shared countless memories and a deep, enduring bond.
A proud father, David's legacy lives on through his children, Corey (Kyle) Laslo of Roseville, Courtney Ross (Jacob Hudson) of Roseville, and Aaron (Amanda) Doran of Goodrich. His grandchildren, Alena, Hunter, Bella, Blake, Wesley, Paisley, Phoenix, and Jack, brought immense joy to his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
David was a brother to Jim (Barb) Stitchick of WV, Debra Damico of Mt. Clemens, and Ken (Tammy) Stitchick of Roseville. His siblings, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends, will remember David for his boundless energy and the love he had for his family. His father, Lloyd, along with his son, Andrew Ross (2009), and his treasured Yorkie, Maggie Mae, preceded him in death.
Throughout his life, David was a dedicated worker, employed in Union construction for many years. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and commitment, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a joke to lighten the mood.
David's passions were as vibrant as his personality. A NASCAR and Denver Broncos fanatic, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with the same enthusiasm he approached life. His love for Rock-n-roll and his crazy dance moves were undeniable, and his collection of model cars was a reflection of his meticulous and creative nature.
Those who knew David will remember him as a "big teddy bear," whose outgoing nature made him a friend to many. His sense of humor was one of his most defining traits, leaving a trail of laughter and smiles wherever he went.
David Stitchick's life was a beautiful mosaic of the love he gave and the laughter he shared. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his legacy will continue to inspire joy and kindness in the hearts of those he touched. As we say goodbye to David, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of passion, warmth, and the echoes of his infectious laughter.
