Joseph Blind Obituary
Joseph was born on September 22, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Patronage of St. Joseph Catholic School, Nativity Catholic School, graduated from Beal City High School, and earned a degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He retired from Sears, worked at Chatham Supermarket, and was a Sales Manager for Michigan Bell.
In his younger days he enjoyed playing baseball with his friends and siblings. Joe was quite the prankster and was always joking around. He even gave his sister, Charlotte the nickname 'Chuck Wagon' after the iconic 1970's commercial for dog food. The Purina Chuck Wagon dog food commercial featured a live-action dog chasing a tiny, animated covered wagon through a house. The wagon would race into a kitchen cabinet, and when the cabinet door opened, the wagon vanished and was replaced by a box of Chuck Wagon dog food. Unfortunately for Charlotte, Joe shortened her nickname to 'Chuck' which stuck with her the remainder of her years.
Joe was the beloved brother of Karen (Carolyn) Laczek, Rick Blind (Sue), and Tim Blind (Jennifer), many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Vera & Richard Blind, sisters, Patricia Conlan (Dan), Charlotte Blind (Dennis), and brother-in-law, Joe Laczek.
Cremation Arrangements are by Grace Memorial, Clinton Twp.
