It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Mr. David Sturgeon, age 67. David went to his Heavenly Home February 25, 2026 while at Carolina Pines RMC
David was born in Hartsville a son of Bertha Lee Franklin Sturgeon and the late Richard David Sturgeon. In his early years he loved to draw and enjoyed talking on the CB, was a die hard Gamecock fan and loved to sing. He dearly loved his family but most of all he loved Jesus.
Surviving are two sisters, Sue Tolson, Hartsville and Pam (Phillip) Eleazer, Elgin; two brothers, Rick (Patricia Taylor) Sturgeon, Camden and Rev. Ken (Stacie) Sturgeon, Hartsville; four nieces, Beverly (Ricky) Tyner, Hartsville, Brittany (Clayton) Coker, Elgin, Morgan Morris, Hartsville and Brittany Moore, Florence; three nephews, Brent (Mitzi) Melton, McBee, Brendan Sturgeon, Elgin and Blake Eleazer, Elgin; several great nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be conducted at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, March 1st, 2026, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. A committal will follow in Darlington Memory Gardens, and the family welcomes friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
