David Lee "DeeTee" Taylor Jr, age 49 of Ladoga passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at home. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 8, 1974 to David Lee Taylor Sr and Jeanie Mae Taylor-Edwards.
DeeTee graduated from Millington High School in Tennessee. He worked as a machine operator at Banjo before becoming disabled. He loved fishing, camping, was a bartender and jack of all trades, and enjoyed going on walks to the lake and creek with his dogs, Max and Chance. He wanted to become a professional D.J and was an outgoing, fun loving, never knew a stranger and would do anything for anyone, especially for his family and friends, and was a loving father and grandpa.
He is survived by his fiancé, Brenda Castillo of Ladoga; his mother, Jeanie Mae (Clarence) Taylor-Edwards of Memphis, Tennessee; seven children, Tevin, T'Andrea (Brandon), Cordarius, David (Issa), Lisa, Joanna, and Delilah; a brother, Mareo (Latosha) Taylor; a sister, Kametria Owens; six grandchildren, Taliyah, Tevi'yana, Taimir, Royalty, Aurora, and Brielle; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Lee Taylor Sr; his grandparents, and a brother, Anthony Taylor.
Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St in Crawfordsville on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 3:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 4:00pm. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
