David Thomas Obituary
He is reunited in Heaven with his parents, (Marvin and Betty Thomas); brother, (John Thomas); sister, (Lynda Thomas-Shell); and niece, (Kelly Shell-Leachman). He will be missed and remembered by his devoted wife of 35 years, Patty Hines Thomas; his loving daughter, Jenna Thomas, and countless other family members and friends.
He retired from O'Neal Manufacturing after 45 years of hard work and dedication. His knowledge of many things, along with his work ethic, stretched far beyond his job. Dave enjoyed bringing new life to just about anything, cars and lanterns, in particular. He could be found strolling through Goodwill and helping out a friend or neighbor in any way he could.
To know Dave was to love him, and to say this loss hits hard for many would be an understatement. His infectious laugh, generosity and wisdom will live on in the hearts of everyone he knew for many years to come.
His memorial visitation will be from 12:00 Noon - 3:00 pm on Saturday January 10th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40205. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society in his honor.
His daughter, Jenna, encourages everyone who loves Dave to live more like him, remain positive, and help those you can. Stay dedicated to your family and commitments, and take in all of life's "Awesomes."

I will always remember the kindness and laughter he brought to any occasion. Manchester Road was blessed by the Thomas family. I would look out and see Art,Amos,Al,Dave, and the rest of the gang of men who gathered on the Luckett drive way. There would always be laughter most ignited by Dave Thomas. Special times, not soon forgotten.
