David Thompson, born November 14, 1943, in Dallas, Texas passed peacefully on February 11, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana surrounded by his family. He was the son of Jeanne and Lyman Thompson.
Dave is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barb Thompson; son, J.L. Thompson (Kari); and daughter, Cynthia Thompson (Elias). Dave shared a lifelong friendship with his childhood best friend, Joe Hayden (Sandy).
Dave was the proud owner of Bobcat Boats and had a deep love for Golden Retrievers, especially his beloved dog, Rosie, who was always by his side.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Dave will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
