David Tom

David Allen Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 20, 2026, at the age of 67. David was born February 24, 1958, in Tooele, Utah. He graduated from Tooele High School and was a Tooele resident his entire life. While David did not have children of his own, he loved to spoil his nieces and nephews. He would drive them around Tooele in his little Chevy truck and was always up for trips to the gas station to get candy and drinks. David married Melinda Fischer in 2001. He relished the chance to be an influence in Melinda's children and grandson's lives. He enjoyed making people smile and could constantly be found handing out candy to brighten people's day.

David was preceded in death by his wife Melinda Tom (2013), his brother Dennis Tom (2014), his mother Lois Tom (1986), his grandfather Ichiro Hamatake (1986) and his niece Brittany Tom (2004).

He is survived by his siblings Lianne Williamson, Sandra Sims, Carolyn Miller, and Kenneth Tom, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be planned for this summer.
