David Jeron Travis was born on February 25, 1958 in Riverside, California. He passed from this life into the next on October 4, 2025 at St. Vincents North Hospital in North Little Rock. He was 67 years old. He called Des Arc his home.

He leaves behind his sons Jeramy and his wife Michelle, Christopher and daughter-in-law Lydia, daughter Cara. His six grandsons Braylon, Aydin, Bubba, Marcus and Noble and one great-grandson. Three sisters Diane (her husband Jerry), Jessica and Mona. Three brothers Vernon, Donnie (his wife Nancy), Patrick (his wife Mary). 14 nieces and nephews. The love of his life for forty years Leona Travis. Two previous wives Mary Jane Walls and Cindy Houghten.

He was preceded in death by his mother Patsy Evans, his father Vernon Travis, his brother Vernon Travis, and a daughter April.

David loved to hunt and fish. He loved to travel and see new things. He was always working on something. He made things work when others thought it was impossible. He may have had extra parts leftover. David would always tell stories about his life experiences to whoever would listen. David would call after a hard day's work and say, "Meet me under the tree". We would sit and have a cold drink and talk about the day.

David was an over the road truck driver for several years until he started doing commercial rebar. That's where he found his knitch and excelled in career as a Rodbuster. He taught his sons the trade and several nephews. When he retired from construction, he went to work as a Driver with LCCA delivering meals to the homebound seniors. He received a Life Saving Award from LCCA for saving a life of one of their clients. His life was a remarkable one. His journey amazing. He loved life and lived it his way. He was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.

Family-hosted Services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Family Worship Center in Des Arc located on 10th & Main St. Following the service, friends and family will gather at the family home located at 410 S. First Street, Des Arc, AR.
