David was born January 1, 1951 to Kenneth and Helen Votteler. He was a retired welder who worked with LG&E and other construction companies around Louisville. He loved UofL basketball, fishing, and his family and friends were of great importance to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Nancy Bennett and Kenneth Raymond Votteler Jr.
Left to cherish David's memory is his remaining sister, Honey Paine (Morris); nephews, Jason Timothy and Chris Nix; and many friends and family. David was blessed by his caregivers, Gwen Smith and James Ferbee and the family expresses their gratitude to them.
A Memorial Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 at Joseph E. Ratterman and Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Dr with a Memorial Service at 5 p.m.
